Nicki Minaj Reaffirms Support for Donald Trump at Michigan Rally

Rapper Nicki Minaj publicly reaffirmed her support for former President Donald Trump on Sunday, declaring at a Republican campaign rally in Port Huron, Michigan, that she would back him again if he were to seek another term in office.

Minaj joined Trump on stage at the rally, which was held to campaign for Republican Senate candidate Mike Rogers and gubernatorial candidate John James. "President Trump, it is an honor to stand with you every single time," Minaj stated. "And I will continue to support you forever and ever. If you run again, I will support you again."

Trump, who has previously served two terms as president, is constitutionally barred from seeking a third term under the 22nd Amendment. Earlier this year, Trump responded to questions about a potential 2028 run by stating the law was "very strong."

Minaj, a Grammy-nominated artist, has increasingly expressed support for Trump. She recently served as a celebrity judge for the Small Business Administration's Million Dollar Pitch Competition. "I am so honored to be working with this president. He represents resilience," Minaj told the crowd. "Since he's come back, he's changed the energy of our country. And he's given us a future to look forward to, a brighter future for us and our children."

The rapper also urged attendees to support Republican candidates in the upcoming midterm elections, describing the vote as a "major turning point for our country." Minaj also voiced concerns regarding transgender-related issues and their impact on children, stating, "We don't want our children to be bombarded with sex changes, right? We don't want that for our children. We want people to leave the children alone. Leave them out of it."

Trump introduced Minaj as the "queen of rap," later joking about her overshadowing him on stage. "I don't like being overshadowed," Trump quipped. "And this woman overshadows me, and I'm angry about it."

Minaj's appearance at the rally follows a recent interview with Lara Trump for Fox News, where she encouraged young Americans to vote in the midterms and to "vote red now."

White House communications director Steven Cheung, who is set to become the next White House press secretary, commented on Minaj's political engagement via a post on X, formerly Twitter. "Ladies and gentlemen, I think we may have found the new White House press secretary! @NICKIMINAJ," he wrote.
