Nicki Minaj Joins Trump in Michigan, Sparks White House Role Speculation

Rapper Nicki Minaj accompanied President Donald Trump to a rally in Michigan on Sunday, an appearance that included a humorous suggestion from a White House official that she might be considered for a high-profile position.

White House Communications Director Steven Cheung posted a video of Minaj disembarking Air Force One with Trump at Selfridge Air National Guard Base, captioning it with a playful remark: "I think we may have found the next White House Press Secretary!" Cheung's comment comes shortly after Katie Zachariah resigned from the position after only five days.

Minaj, who has publicly supported Trump, has made several appearances alongside the president and has voiced approval of his policies. The "Super Bass" artist urged young Americans to vote Republican in the upcoming midterm elections. She was born in Trinidad and Tobago and moved to the United States as a child; while she is a permanent resident, her U.S. citizenship status and ability to vote are not publicly confirmed.
