Nicki Minaj Hints at White House Press Secretary Role During Trump Campaign Stop
The rapper joined President Trump aboard Air Force One and expressed support for his policies.
Rap artist Nicki Minaj engaged in a political discussion with White House Communications Director Stephen Cheung aboard Air Force One en route to a campaign rally for President Donald Trump in Michigan. Cheung shared a clip of their conversation on X, humorously suggesting Minaj could be the next White House Press Secretary.
During their exchange, Minaj, wearing a $6,000 Gucci suit, commented on the economy, stating, "We have a president who understands economics first of all. You know, I've said before that the president is, naturally, a businessman." She added that Trump "worked his way out of not having a dollar left in the bank."
Minaj also spoke with the Daily Mail, calling the upcoming election "the most important midterm election of our lifetimes." She emphasized the need for Trump to have a "great team in Congress to work with during his final two years in office" to continue programs like the "Trump accounts," of which she is a supporter.
Trump's campaign has recently featured other celebrity endorsements, including boxers Mike Tyson, Jake Paul, Floyd Mayweather, and Evander Holyfield, as well as country music artist Jason Aldean.
