A man identified as Daejon Love, 35, is accused of impersonating a San Francisco 49ers player and leveraging fake relationships with NFL stars Jordan Love and Tyreek Hill to defraud more than two dozen women of approximately $1.3 million. Love and an accomplice, Taylor Jamie Chan, 18, have been charged in federal court in Oregon with conspiracy to commit wire fraud.

According to a criminal complaint, Daejon Love met victims through dating apps, starting in March 2025 with one woman he met on Tinder. He allegedly told her he was a 49ers wide receiver and a relative of Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love. After discussing her financial situation, he persuaded her to invest $17,200, though she never received confirmation of the investment and he stopped communicating with her when she inquired.

Prosecutors allege that Love used similar tactics with other women, presenting a video that showcased his supposed friendships with Miami Dolphins player Tyreek Hill and former NFL wide receivers Antonio Brown and John Brown. He claimed these connections stemmed from offseason training, leading to tryout invitations from NFL teams. Love reportedly told victims that the 49ers offered him the most lucrative contract.

Chan allegedly posed as Love's financial advisor, further solidifying the fraudulent investment scheme. Federal prosecutors stated that Love and Chan solicited money from the women through lies and misrepresentations, operating the scheme from February 2022 until their arrest on August 24, 2026.

The women involved were located in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and California. Both Daejon Love and Taylor Chan remain in federal custody.
