Cincinnati Bengals offensive lineman Orlando Brown Jr. is facing a lawsuit from his ex-girlfriend, Holly Means, who claims he has refused to return her personal belongings after their long-term relationship ended. Means is seeking over $25,000 in damages, the return of her property, and punitive damages, alleging Brown acted with "anger and spite" and "ill will or a spirit of revenge."
The couple, who lived together with their two children in Brown's Ohio home, separated in June 2025. According to the civil theft lawsuit filed by Means, Brown allegedly forced her out of the residence without notice, preventing her from collecting all of her possessions. Means claims some of her belongings are now located in Oklahoma and Kansas City, and that Brown has obstructed her attempts to retrieve them.
In January 2026, Means stated in court documents that she arrived with police to collect her property, but Brown refused to open the door. Brown has denied the allegations, asserting that Means arrived unannounced after he had requested she not do so. He is seeking to have the case dismissed with prejudice, further contending that Means abandoned the property by leaving it behind after their breakup.
Means, who has since moved back to Oregon with the couple's children, filed the lawsuit in an effort to recover her belongings and compensation for their alleged wrongful retention.
Brown is currently participating in the Bengals' training camp. The lineman signed a four-year, $64 million contract with the team in 2023 after previously playing for the Kansas City Chiefs. Recently, Brown expressed confidence in the Bengals' offensive line, stating he believes the team will have the strongest pass-protection unit in the NFL for the upcoming season. He also addressed questions about his own performance last season, asserting that his role often placed him in more one-on-one pass-protection situations than other tackles in the league, and he is focused on continuous improvement.
