Tennessee Titans cornerback Nazeeh Johnson has been suspended for six regular-season games without pay for violating the NFL's performance-enhancing substances policy. Johnson, a two-time Super Bowl winner with the Kansas City Chiefs, stated on X that he believes the positive test resulted from fertility medication he and his wife were taking.

"I was not aware that there was a substance in the medication that was on the banned list and I tested positive for a PED [performance-enhancing drug]," Johnson wrote. He advised other NFL players to follow proper procedures and obtain approval before using any substances. The 28-year-old player revealed that he and his wife have been undergoing fertility treatment after he was informed he was infertile. "We lost our baby a few weeks ago, and this has been an incredibly difficult time for my wife and me. Fortunately, we have nine good eggs left, so we're holding on to hope that we'll be able to grow our family."

Johnson was drafted by the Chiefs in 2022 and was part of their Super Bowl-winning teams in 2023 and 2024. He joined the Titans in July. He is permitted to participate in all preseason activities before his suspension begins on August 30. Johnson will be eligible for reinstatement on October 19, and the Titans' season opener is on September 13.
