A co-anchor on Fox 2 News’ “Good Day Detroit” show experienced a notable disruption during a discussion about consuming beaver meat on a reality survival program.

During a segment discussing the History Channel show “Alone,” co-host Deena Centofanti spoke about contestants needing to procure their own food. She noted that during winter months, contestants would be ice fishing and looking for fat in beavers, stating, “The beaver is the most sought after.”

The comment about eating beaver prompted co-host Ryan Ermanni to erupt in laughter. After several seconds with his head in his hands, Ermanni struggled to regain composure. He eventually responded, “Yeah. I don’t know. I don’t know anything about this show, but you’re really funny. You’re a really funny gal.”

Centofanti continued to engage with the topic, asking Ermanni if he thought he could eat beaver, given it is composed of fat and meat. Ermanni shared a video clip of the incident on Facebook, adding the caption, “I had no idea eating beaver was such a big part of the show ‘Alone.’” Centofanti also commented online that viewers can learn new things from the survival competition.

The segment quickly gained traction on social media, with the clip going viral.
