Molly Smith and Tom Clare, who met on the reality television show Love Island, have extended their wedding celebrations into a second day on the Spanish island of Mallorca. The couple, who officially married in a town hall ceremony in the UK in July, held a larger celebration on Saturday at the clifftop venue Son Marroig. Their co-stars from Love Island were in attendance for the weekend festivities.
On Sunday, the wedding party reconvened for a boozy lunch. Best man Casey O'Gorman, 29, arrived in a pair of Speedos, a choice that the bride, Molly Smith, 32, expressed disapproval of, though Maya Jama lauded his attire. O'Gorman later posted a photo with Smith, referencing her new married name, writing "Mrs Clare isn't happy." Social media clips showed O'Gorman drinking from a jug at the table during the lunch.
Other Love Island stars present included Sophie Piper and Joshua Ritchie, who have been dating since appearing on the same series. A photo shared depicted the "aftermath" of the wedding, with the group having breakfast.
Love Islanders Mitch Taylor and his girlfriend Hayley Griffin were also in attendance. However, another former co-star, Anton Danyluk, stated on Instagram that he had declined the invitation due to concerns about his alcohol consumption. Danyluk, who has previously spoken about issues with problematic drinking since his time on the show, explained that he had made the decision to stop drinking when initially invited.
He elaborated that while he had abstained from alcohol for five months, he later concluded that the issue was not the act of drinking itself, but rather an inability to know when to stop. Danyluk stated he now drinks on social occasions and can control his intake. He expressed regret for missing the wedding but conveyed happiness for the couple. His comments drew a critical response from Mitch Taylor, who called the post "weird," and some social media users accused Danyluk of seeking attention.
Earlier in the weekend, Casey O'Gorman recounted an incident where he nearly missed his flight to Mallorca. He stated on Instagram stories that EasyJet had overbooked the flight, and he was initially denied boarding despite having checked in. He described the situation as baffling, questioning how a flight could be oversold.
