A heartbroken wife is making a public plea for her newlywed husband to return home after he disappeared from their upstate New York residence earlier this week. Dominick Bianchi, 35, was last seen Tuesday morning at his home in East Greenbush, a town south of Albany.
Bianchi left behind his cellphone, wallet, and car, prompting a missing person report filed with the East Greenbush Police Department. His wife, Julianna Zyra, described as distraught, directly addressed her husband in an interview, urging him to come home.
"Whatever it is that’s going on, there are so many people who care about you want you to be OK," Zyra told News 10. "I know you feel really alone, but there are people who want to help you. If you’re seeing this, please, come home."
Zyra revealed that Bianchi has been managing mental health issues for an extended period. She expressed concern that public speculation on the internet was unhelpful, stating, "he’s very sick and he is not in the right headspace."
Adding to the family's worry, Bianchi also has type 1 diabetes. His family is concerned he may not have his essential insulin medication with him. Zyra noted that his continuous glucose monitor is paired to his phone, which he does not possess.
Bianchi is described as 5-foot 11 inches tall and was last seen wearing black sweatpants and a black long-sleeve shirt. He may have been wearing a baseball hat. He has tattoos of a skull and roses on his chest, a baseball on his right arm, and a cross on his back.
Police are asking residents in the East Greenbush area to check their properties, including sheds and vehicles, and to review any trail camera or home surveillance footage for signs of Bianchi. The East Greenbush Police Department can be contacted at 518-479-2525 with any information.
