The body of a newborn was discovered inside a porta-potty at the Electric Forest music festival campgrounds in Rothbury, Michigan, on Sunday morning. The discovery was made by an employee of the restroom vending company while conducting routine maintenance, according to Michigan State Police.
The four-day music festival, held at Double JJ Ranch, features numerous DJ and EDM acts and was sold out this year. The event began on Thursday and was scheduled to conclude on Sunday night.
The exact age of the newborn has not yet been determined. Authorities have stated there is no known threat to the public, and the incident remains under investigation. The Michigan State Police have not yet released further comment.
