New York Rangers Alumni to Face Off for Charity
The 5th Annual Alumni Classic will benefit children battling cancer and their families through the Northwell Foundation and Garden of Dreams Foundation.
Hockey fans will have the opportunity to support a good cause while watching legendary New York Rangers players compete in the 5th Annual Alumni Classic, presented by Northwell Health. The event is scheduled for November 15, 2026, at Madison Square Garden.
This year's game will feature a unique matchup: Rangers alumni will play against other former Rangers, spanning four decades of the team's history. Notable alumni expected to participate include Mike Richter, Adam Graves, Ryan Callahan, and Henrik Lundqvist.
"This year is exciting, because for the first time, it will be Rangers Alumni facing off against other former Rangers," said Dan Girardi. "This is a unique opportunity for fans of all generations to see familiar faces, relive great memories, and enjoy a fun, engaging game day experience while also supporting a great cause. It will be a special day for everyone involved."
Tickets for the Alumni Classic are available, with lower-bowl seats offering fans a chance to be close to the action. Fans can also purchase special experiences, such as penalty box photo opportunities, Zamboni rides, and post-game on-ice photos. While most premium packages are sold out, the GardenVision Message experience remains available.
Proceeds from ticket sales and special experiences will benefit the Northwell Foundation, supporting children with cancer and their families, and the Garden of Dreams Foundation, which provides opportunities for young people in need. Northwell Health employees will also be involved, with one employee singing the national anthem and the Northwell hockey team participating in warmups.
"It’s always special to get back together with this hockey family and be a part of an event that gives back," said Brandon Prust. "Being able to participate in the Alumni Classic year after year and raise money for Northwell and the Garden of Dreams Foundations makes it even more meaningful. This is about more than hockey – it’s about the friendships, the memories and most importantly, making a difference in the community."
The Alumni Classic is scheduled to begin at 12 p.m. at Madison Square Garden. Tickets can be purchased through a provided link.
