Authorities in Madison, New York, are investigating a tragic incident in which a 35-year-old man, identified as Justin Sislo, allegedly killed his parents before dying by suicide. The homicides occurred just weeks after Sislo's parents posted $10,000 bail for his release from jail, where he was held on charges related to assaulting his girlfriend.

On Friday morning, law enforcement was called to the parents' home. Officers observed two deceased adults through a window. The scene also indicated the presence of flammable gas. Justin Sislo was found deceased at the residence.

Sislo had a documented criminal history and was prohibited from possessing firearms, according to WSYR. He had been arrested less than a month prior for allegedly assaulting his 56-year-old girlfriend in Cayuga County. Following a tip about a similar incident in Madison County, deputies searched his home on July 29, seizing several firearms and evidence.

He faced multiple charges, including assault, strangulation, menacing, reckless endangerment, criminal weapon possession, and harassment. He was also charged with promoting a suicide attempt. His parents subsequently paid the bail amount for his release from Madison County jail.

Police records indicate a domestic incident between Justin Sislo and his father on March 22, 2024, although no charges were filed at that time. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the deaths of Steve Sislo, 76, and Donna Walker-Sislo, 72, is ongoing.
