A man facing violent charges fatally shot his parents in their Madison, New York, home before taking his own life, an act that occurred weeks after his parents paid $10,000 to secure his release from jail. The Madison County Sheriff’s Office identified the deceased as Justin Sislo, 35, and his parents, Donna Walker-Sislo, 72, and Steve Sislo, 76.
Deputies discovered the bodies Friday after noticing them through a window of the parents’ residence. Investigators found a gun inside the home, despite Sislo being prohibited from possessing firearms following his recent arrest. Authorities also detected the smell of propane or gasoline within the house.
Sislo had been arrested on multiple counts of second-degree strangulation concerning an attack on his girlfriend, along with several firearm offenses. His court date was scheduled for August 21.
Records indicate Sislo's relationship with his father was strained, with police responding to a domestic incident involving the two earlier in 2024, though no charges were filed.
