New White House Press Secretary Faces Scrutiny After Debut
Katie Zacharia's first press briefing was notably brief, drawing immediate commentary.
Katie Zacharia made her debut as White House press secretary on Tuesday, stepping into a role previously held by Karoline Leavitt. Leavitt departed the position in August to focus on her family.
Zacharia's initial press briefing lasted only 15 minutes, a significant reduction from the typical hour-long sessions. During the briefing, one question confirmed the status of ambassador Kimberly Guilfoyle.
Following the briefing, former Trump White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci, who himself had a brief tenure of 11 days in the role, offered a critical assessment of Zacharia's performance, suggesting her time in the position may be limited.
Daily Mail Online is conducting a poll, asking readers how long they expect Katie Zacharia to remain as White House press secretary. Results will be shared in an upcoming edition of the DC Insider newsletter.
