New video footage shows Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell being loaded into an ambulance after an apparent cardiac arrest at his Capitol Hill home on June 14. The video, obtained by CNN, depicts District of Columbia Fire and EMS personnel wheeling the 84-year-old Republican senator on a stretcher.

The footage shows McConnell's lower legs covered by an orange blanket, and his face is not visible. A neighbor who captured the video told CNN that another eyewitness reported McConnell was not wearing an oxygen mask during his transport to a local hospital.

Previously released dispatch audio indicated that McConnell had been found "unconscious" at his home and that first responders performed CPR. Rumors about the senator's health have circulated since the incident, with some commentators suggesting he was left "brain dead." However, Senate Republican leadership and McConnell's office have stated that he is recovering and remains engaged with colleagues on current issues.
