New Streaming Releases This Weekend Include 'UNABOMBER' and 'American Horror Story'
Netflix, Hulu, and HBO Max are among the platforms debuting new series and films from September 24 to September 27.
Several new movies and television shows are set to premiere across various streaming platforms between Thursday, September 24, and Sunday, September 27. Netflix will release the dramatic thriller "UNABOMBER," a new season of "The Great British Baking Show," and a reboot of "A Different World."
On Hulu, the latest season of "American Horror Story: 13" is available, featuring a reunion of many of Ryan Murphy's collaborators. HBO Max will begin streaming "Backrooms," a thriller starring Chiwetel Ejiofor.
"UNABOMBER" on Netflix delves into the life of Ted Kaczynski, weaving together his time as a Harvard student subjected to psychological experiments and the 1995 manhunt that led to his capture. Jacob Tremblay stars as a young Kaczynski, with Russell Crowe as Professor Henry Murray. Shailene Woodley and Annabelle Wallis also appear in the film.
"American Horror Story: 13" marks the 13th season of the anthology series, with its first three episodes premiering on Hulu. The season includes appearances by Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts, Evan Peters, and Angela Bassett.
The HBO Max release, "Backrooms," directed by Kane Parsons, features Ejiofor as a furniture store owner who becomes trapped in a surreal labyrinth in his store's basement. Renate Reinsve and Lukita Maxwell also star in the film.
Other notable releases include "A Different World" and "The Great British Baking Show" collection 14 on Netflix, "Law & Order: Season 25" also on Netflix, and "Go Deep: The DeSean Jackson Story" on Prime Video. Hulu's new offerings include "Paranormal State: Complete Seasons 4-6" and "Pawn Stars: Complete Season 24." HBO Max will also feature "How to Catch a Dirtbag, Season 1" and "The Plot Thickens, Season 7."
Disney+ is adding "Paranormal State (Seasons 4 and 6)" and "Pawn Stars (Season 24)" on September 24, followed by "Marvel’s Spidey and the Avengers: Halloween Team-Up!" on September 25, and "The Simpsons (Season 37)" on September 27. Apple TV+ will release "Knife Edge: Chasing Michelin Stars (Season 2)" on September 25, while Starz debuts "Fightland: Season 1" and "Outlander: Blood of My Blood: Season 2" on the same day.
Paramount+ with Showtime has "Team Moms: Baseball" available starting September 24 and will stream the "2026 MTV Video Music Awards" on September 27. Peacock's new releases include the "America's Got Talent" season 21 finale on September 24 and the "Saturday Night Live" season 52 premiere on September 26.
