New Reality Series to Chronicle Opening of Lisa Vanderpump's Las Vegas Hotel

Las Vegas is set to become the backdrop for a new reality television series, "Vanderpump Rules: Lisa Takes Vegas," which will document the opening of Lisa Vanderpump's latest hospitality venture, The Vanderpump Hotel. The limited series, announced earlier this year, will premiere next month, according to Bravo.

Marcus Johnson, a star of "Vanderpump Rules" who will be featured in the upcoming series, shared details about the filming and scope of the show. "We shot it two months ago," Johnson told The Daily Mail at Lisa Vanderpump's World Dog Day event in West Hollywood. "The majority of the cast is involved in it, and we went out to Vegas a couple times and watched Lisa open up her hotel. Stayed there, casino, photo shoots."

Johnson clarified that the series is not a full spin-off but rather a "three-episode special" chronicling the opening of the resort. The show's description indicates it will follow the "behind-the-scenes dash to make the property worthy of the Vanderpump brand," offering insight into Vanderpump's inspiration for the enterprise and the "down-to-the-wire drama" leading up to the grand opening party, which will feature other Bravo personalities.

The Vanderpump Hotel, located in the heart of the Las Vegas strip, officially opened in June. Vanderpump, who has previously established a collection of restaurants, has expanded her empire with this new resort. "It's actually scoring 9.8 on Expedia," she noted regarding the hotel's reception.

Meanwhile, the future of Vanderpump's flagship series, "Vanderpump Rules," remains a topic of discussion. The show underwent a significant cast change for its 12th season, replacing many original stars with new faces. While TMZ reported an early renewal for a 13th season, Bravo has not yet confirmed it.

Natalie Maguire, a singer and cast member from the rebooted "Vanderpump Rules," commented on the uncertainty surrounding the original show's continuation. "All I know is that I'm at SUR, like multiple times a week, working. We were all there last night. Lisa was there. Bruno [Tonioli] from Dancing with the Stars was there," Maguire said. "So all I really need is them to pick up cameras. Everything is happening at SUR, like as per usual."

Maguire and Johnson were among the "Vanderpump Rules" cast members present at the ninth annual World Dog Day celebration, an event supporting The Vanderpump Dog Foundation, which Lisa Vanderpump founded in 2016. Vanderpump expressed her enthusiasm for the event, calling it her "favorite day of the year" and emphasizing the importance of celebrating dogs, especially those in rescue situations.

Both Maguire and Johnson are dog owners, sharing a passion for animal welfare that aligns with Vanderpump's philanthropic efforts. Maguire owns a husky, and Johnson has a German Shepherd.
