A 25-year-old New Jersey woman has been arrested and charged with multiple child sex crimes after allegedly sexually assaulting a young girl and sharing footage of the abuse on Snapchat. Victoria Anne Cranmer was taken into custody on Tuesday.
Investigators identified Cranmer in a 14-second video, which reportedly captured her laughing while assaulting a child described as younger than 13. The incident allegedly occurred on May 6 in the bathroom of a Little Egg Harbor home. Police were able to identify Cranmer in the footage due to her tattoos, including one depicting breasts.
According to court documents, the phone used to record the video was a gift from a former roommate. The roommate discovered the footage when Cranmer recently returned the device. Several other videos of Cranmer and the child in the bathroom were also found on the phone.
Cranmer is accused of posting at least one of the illicit videos on Snapchat. She has been charged with sexual assault, manufacturing of child sexual abuse material, possession of the material, and endangering the child.
