New Details Emerge in Hayden Panettiere's Death Investigation
Fentanyl, other substances, and drug paraphernalia were found at the scene of the actress's passing.
Pressed pills that tested positive for fentanyl were discovered next to Hayden Panettiere’s body when she was found deceased in August, according to a report from the Greenville County Medical Examiner. A straw was also present on the table.
TMZ obtained the medical examiner’s report on Tuesday, which also indicated that white powder was found in a sunglasses case within the actress's suitcase. Panettiere’s body was described in the report as having turned “deep purple.”
The initial report confirmed that the 36-year-old died from the toxic effects of fentanyl, 4-ANPP, alprazolam, methocarbamol, and quetiapine. Alprazolam is an anti-anxiety medication, while methocarbamol is a muscle relaxant, and quetiapine is used to treat depression, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia.
The manner of death was officially ruled an accident.
