New 'Baywatch' Reboot Trailer Drops, Teasing Dramatic Rescues and Steamy Hookups
Fox released the official trailer for the upcoming "Baywatch" reboot, showcasing dramatic rescues, familiar faces, and romantic entanglements.
The official trailer for the "Baywatch" reboot has been released by Fox, offering a glimpse into the series ahead of its premiere in January 2027. The three-minute clip introduces Hobie Buchannon, portrayed by Stephen Amell, as the captain of the Baywatch lifeguards. His life takes a turn when his biological daughter, Charlie Vale (Jessica Belkin), arrives at Venice Beach seeking her father and a lifeguard position.
"I just want a job," Charlie tells Hobie, who expresses concern about the dangers of the lifeguard role despite his desire for a relationship with his daughter. The trailer features signature "Baywatch" elements, including slow-motion running sequences, iconic red swimsuits, and scenes of shirtless lifeguards.
A dramatic rescue sequence depicts the team saving two girls struck by a plane while parasailing. Hobie imparts the importance of their role, stating, "To be a Baywatch lifeguard, you have to be the best of the best. Because it’s our responsibility to protect the people of this city, no matter the cost. Get to work."
The trailer also hints at romantic plotlines, including a potential relationship between Charlie and Luke (Noah Beck), and a possible connection between Trina (Shay Mitchell) and Brad (Thaddeus LaGrone). The Venice Beach crew also includes Selene (Brooks Nader), Nat (Hassie Harrison), and Grace (Livvy Dunne). Megan Thee Stallion makes a special appearance in the trailer.
David Chokachi returns as Cody Madison, a lifeguard from the original series. He was previously spotted filming the reboot alongside original cast members Kelly Packard and Michael Bergin. Pamela Anderson, who played C.J. Parker, stated in July that she had not been approached about a cameo.
"No one’s reached out to me," Anderson told Deadline. "I don’t know much about it." She did mention that producers had spoken with her sons, Brandon and Dylan Lee, about potential behind-the-scenes roles.
The first teaser for the reboot was released in May on Amell’s Instagram account, showing Nader and Dunne in the franchise's classic red swimsuits. Amell was also featured running in slow motion on the beach.
