Netflix is set to launch a novel darts competition featuring 24 players, including emerging talent Katie Sheldon, who will face off against reigning world champion Luke Littler in a series of one-leg shootouts. The event, which aims to draw a significant live audience, will offer a grand prize of £501,000 (approximately €600,000) to the victor.

The tournament is designed as a spectacle, bringing a competitive darts format to a global streaming platform. Players will have the opportunity to challenge Littler, a young sensation who has recently captivated the darts world. Among the contestants is 22-year-old Katie Sheldon from Tallaght, Ireland, who has prior experience playing against Littler when she was 15 and he was 12.

Sheldon, who was introduced to darts at the age of nine, discovered the sport through a dartboard found in her grandfather's garden shed. Her participation highlights the event's inclusivity, aiming to showcase both established and rising stars in the sport.
