Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky are scheduled to travel to Washington D.C. for the funeral of the late Sen. Lindsey Graham, which is set to take place on Tuesday.
Netanyahu's office confirmed that he will meet with former President Donald Trump at the White House on Tuesday as part of his visit to Washington. The Prime Minister's office stated that the trip was "at the invitation of President Trump."
Graham, a vocal supporter of Israel, met with Zelensky in Kyiv days before his death on July 11. During that trip, Graham was advocating for new sanctions against Russia.
While Zelensky's travel to Washington is confirmed for the funeral, additional meetings are also being planned, according to a source familiar with the arrangements. The funeral for Graham, who represented South Carolina in the Senate, will bring together international leaders and prominent U.S. political figures.
