An image shared by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, purportedly showing Arab Israelis queuing to vote in an election, has been identified as artificially generated or manipulated. BBC Verify conducted an analysis that concluded the image was not authentic.
The image was posted by Netanyahu on social media platforms during an Israeli election period. It depicted individuals of Arab appearance waiting in line to cast their ballots. However, upon examination, BBC Verify found evidence indicating the use of artificial intelligence in its creation or alteration. This finding raises concerns about the dissemination of fabricated content in political contexts.
