A groom in Nebraska was arrested the day before his wedding, accused of sexually assaulting a woman who was assisting with final wedding preparations. Tyler Weber, 33, was taken into custody on charges of first-degree sexual assault and first-degree false imprisonment.

The alleged incident occurred the night before Weber's ceremony, when a group of individuals, including the accuser and her husband, gathered at his home. According to reports, the 19-year-old accuser stated that Weber repeatedly grabbed her hand while her husband was not looking. Later, after others had left, she reportedly went upstairs to change and asked to borrow clothing, intending to stay the night due to intoxication.

She told authorities that Weber followed her upstairs, grabbed her wrist, pinned her against the stairs, and then forced her onto a couch where he committed alleged oral and manual sexual acts. The accuser stated she repeatedly told him "No!" and that Weber, mid-act, acknowledged he shouldn't be doing this as he was to be married the next day.

Following the alleged assault, the accuser attempted to text her husband, "Bad things were happening," as Weber reportedly went to the bathroom before rejoining her on the couch. She stated she fell asleep and awoke two hours later to Weber's fiancée entering the room and confronting her.

As the accuser prepared to leave, she claimed Weber repeatedly grabbed her arm, urging her "not to ever tell anyone what happened." After returning home, she reported the incident to her husband and father, who advised her to seek medical attention. A rape exam was conducted, and Weber's DNA was collected in June after a warrant was issued.

The swab taken from the victim contained two DNA profiles that did not exclude Weber as a suspect. A subsequent, more comprehensive DNA test conducted by the county sheriff's office reportedly matched Weber definitively. The accuser also reported that Weber bit her thigh during the alleged assault, an injury corroborated by a bruise observed during her medical examination. Weber maintained his innocence, noting the absence of marks on himself, which he presented as evidence against the accusation.

Weber is being held at the Scotts Bluff County Jail on a $215,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court again on August 15.
