Nearly 100 U.S. service members have sustained injuries in the ongoing conflict in Iran over the past two weeks, the Pentagon reported. The escalating casualties have prompted renewed concern from Democratic lawmakers regarding the duration of U.S. military involvement.
Among the fallen service members acknowledged were 1st Lt. Tyler James Feehan, 25, of Ewa Beach, Hawaii; Pvt. Isabella Gonzales, 19, of Carrollton, Texas; and Sgt. Michael Emmanuel Swinton, 30, of Fayetteville, North Carolina.
One Democratic lawmaker stated, "Every second Trump prolongs his war in Iran is another second our service members remain in danger," highlighting the perceived human cost of the sustained military action.
