NBA Star Precious Achiuwa Buys $1.84 Million Condo in Miami
Sacramento Kings forward Precious Achiuwa has purchased a two-bedroom unit in the luxury Jean-Georges Miami Tropic Residences.
NBA player Precious Achiuwa has expanded his real estate holdings with the purchase of a condominium in Miami for $1.84 million. The Sacramento Kings forward acquired a two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit at the Jean-Georges Miami Tropic Residences, a 49-story luxury development situated between Miami’s Design District and Midtown.
Achiuwa, represented by Simon S. Mass of Altariss & TCS, previously invested in Miami real estate with a purchase at Terra’s Five Park development. "Miami has always felt like a second home to me, and when Simon walked me through what Jean-Georges and Terra were building at Miami Tropic, it was an easy decision," Achiuwa stated in a press release. He cited the development’s emphasis on fitness, nutrition, and luxury living as key factors in his decision.
The Jean-Georges Miami Tropic Residences, a project by developers Terra and Lion Development Group, is designed by Arquitectonica with interiors by Yabu Pushelberg. The building will feature over 80,000 square feet of amenities across five floors, including a wellness center called The Well Club, which will offer saunas, steam rooms, contrast therapy, and private treatment rooms. Fitness facilities will include strength and cardio equipment, yoga and barre studios, and squash courts.
Residents will also have access to an eighth-floor swimming pool, private restaurant and bar, and a rooftop pool with a juice bar, private dining room, library, and lounge areas. Michelin-starred chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, marking his first foray into residential real estate, has influenced the building's culinary offerings, focusing on fresh, seasonal ingredients. The ground floor will feature abc kitchens, a restaurant concept from Vongerichten.
Achiuwa joins other athletes who have purchased property in the building. Argentinian polo champion Nacho Figueras and his son Hilario Figueras bought a three-bedroom unit for $3.116 million, and Formula 1 driver Pierre Gasly secured a four-bedroom sky residence listed at $4.9 million.
Terra CEO David Martin commented on the community, stating, "Precious is joining a rapidly growing Miami Tropic community of residents with a shared appreciation for wellness, hospitality, and culture." He added that the development aims to blend dining, wellness, and service to appeal to globally recognized athletes and cultural enthusiasts.
