Love Island winner Nathan Massey, 34, has revealed a significant physical transformation, showcasing a toned physique after a seven-month weight loss journey. Massey shared his progress on Instagram, detailing how an unflattering photograph taken by a friend on holiday prompted him to make a change.
Massey posted a 'before' image alongside a recent picture, indicating his decision to alter his lifestyle. "A year ago I thought I was in great shape until my friend took a picture of me from behind and I was shocked... So I thought it was time for a change," he wrote. In an update on Thursday, he shared: "7 months in and I'm feeling great! Life's all about balance..."
He further elaborated on his approach, stating, "Life's not about extremes — it's about balance, consistency and just keeping yourself ticking over." The reality star also shared glimpses of his new physique while dressing for a football match, drawing positive remarks from fans.
Massey, who won the second series of Love Island with Cara De La Hoyde in 2016, is a father of two. Earlier in the week, it was reported that Massey had been prompted to book a vasectomy. His wife, Cara, expressed her desire for him to undergo the procedure on their Fubar Radio show, Not In Front Of The Kids, citing her reluctance to have further children and avoid the possibility of abortion. The couple had set an Instagram target of 500 comments and 3,000 likes, agreeing that if met, Massey would proceed with scheduling the vasectomy. The outcome of this challenge has not yet been updated.
Massey's post received supportive comments from fans and notable figures, including Emmerdale actor Danny Miller, who commented, "Go on son!!!", and podcaster Jamie Morton, who added, "Smashing it mate."
