NASCAR Driver Jennifer Jo Cobb Faces Scrutiny Over Extramarital Affair Allegations
A private detective testified in court about intimate sounds heard while the NASCAR driver was with a married man, details that emerged in a lawsuit filed by the man's wife.
NASCAR driver Jennifer Jo Cobb was the subject of court testimony detailing alleged intimate sounds heard while she was in a hotel room with Clayton Odie Hughes, a married man. The revelation came from private detective Jim Rorie, who was hired by Hughes' wife, Tracey, to investigate her husband's activities.
Rorie testified that he heard Cobb, 53, and Hughes engaged in sexual activity. The details emerged during a lawsuit filed by Tracey Hughes against Cobb. A jury ruled in favor of Tracey Hughes, finding that Cobb's relationship with Clayton Hughes began before the couple had formally separated.
Clayton and Tracey Hughes had informally separated in September 2020, but their separation was not formalized for several months. Cobb, from Kansas City, was reportedly married at the time to Eddie Troconis, also a NASCAR driver and her team member. Cobb retired from NASCAR in 2024.
