Nancy Kissinger, the wife of the late former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, died Thursday at her home in South Kent, Connecticut. She was 92.

Her death was first reported by The New York Times, citing an announcement from her family. Though not an official diplomat herself, Kissinger frequently joined her husband on diplomatic journeys to various global regions, including Russia and the Middle East. She was often photographed with world leaders during these trips and at official functions.

The Kissingers, who had no children, were regular attendees at White House receptions, state dinners, and embassy events during Republican administrations.

Born Nancy Sharon Maginnes in Manhattan in 1934, she is survived by her two stepchildren and five step-grandchildren. Her husband, Henry Kissinger, who served as Secretary of State under Presidents Nixon and Ford, died in November 2023 at the age of 100.
