A Wisconsin woman was arrested Tuesday night after allegedly stealing a Pleasant Prairie fire department pickup truck and embarking on a nude joyride, according to police.

Emily Fair, 36, was found behind the wheel of the stolen vehicle just before 1 a.m. after she made a distinct radio call from the truck. "I’m hungry, you got food in there?" Fair could be heard saying over the fire department's radio, following earlier incoherent mumbling.

Police located the truck at a Department of Public Works garage. Bodycam footage captured the moment an officer approached the vehicle as Fair backed it up, with the officer shouting to stop. Upon opening the driver's door, the officer discovered Fair was nude.

When questioned by the officer, Fair denied drinking and stated she was "supposed to meet someone." She also falsely claimed to be a firefighter. Authorities later found Fair's dress inside the truck.

Surveillance video showed Fair entering the pickup, activating its emergency lights, and driving away from the station. She was taken for a medical evaluation before being taken into custody.

Fair faces a felony charge for taking and driving a vehicle without the owner's consent. A judge has ordered a competency hearing for Fair on August 26. If convicted, she could face up to six years in prison or a $10,000 fine.

Court documents indicate Fair has a prior arrest record, including charges for marijuana possession, disorderly conduct, and resisting a police officer on June 15, and similar charges on April 16. In August 2020, she was arrested on two charges for allegedly violating a state or local emergency management order. Fair has not yet entered a plea in the current case.
