A man, who was completely unclothed, walked through Times Square on Friday morning, eliciting surprised reactions from tourists and commuters.

The individual, described as appearing "strung-out," moved through the area on West 42nd Street wearing only his birthday suit. Video footage captured the man with a "blank look on his face" as he ambled barefoot along a pedestrian plaza.

At one point, the man squeezed between two pedestrians. The New York Post reported that its journalists alerted a police officer to the situation. An NYPD spokesperson stated on Friday afternoon that the department did not have information regarding any arrest.

The incident drew varied reactions from those present. One Times Square visitor suggested the man's state might be due to drug use, commenting, "Don't do drugs."

Another observer, who was handing out cards for a gun rental business, reacted with amusement, stating, "This f—ing city is amazing."

The Naked Cowboy, a well-known street performer in Times Square, commented on the situation, stating that it was "Not a good idea" to be unclothed in the area. Despite his moniker, the Naked Cowboy typically wears underwear as part of his performance attire.

One witness noted the man had a tan line, suggesting he had previously been wearing shorts. Another observer, 18-year-old Kai, offered a more relaxed perspective, saying, "Live your life, man. You only live once."

Ty, 31, speculated that the heat contributed to the man's decision to go without clothing, adding, "It's too hot to be walking around butterball naked in the middle of the summertime."
