Naga Munchetty, a host on BBC Breakfast, earned approximately £3,000 per month from external work during the first six months of the year, totaling £18,000. Half of this income was generated from engagements with the members' club Soho House.

Munchetty, who is set to leave BBC Breakfast at the end of the year, undertook private events for Soho House monthly from January to June. She also worked as a speaker for Sysco, identified as the world's largest food distributor, and as an interviewer for Women in Film & TV (UK). In February, she participated in a podcast discussion on interviewing techniques for The PR Network. Additionally, she hosted a panel discussion about creative industries at Soho House in Manchester in January.

During this period, Munchetty also traveled to Dubai to speak at the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature about her book, "It's Probably Nothing." Attendees paid £15 per ticket for the one-hour event.

Last year, Munchetty's earnings from outside work exceeded £56,000, which included income from a charity engagement. BBC rules on presenters undertaking external work were tightened in 2020, with further changes in July indicating that presenters leveraging their BBC profile for outside opportunities would have this factored into their pay negotiations.

In July, Munchetty announced her departure from BBC Breakfast after 17 years, with plans to move to Radio 5 Live Breakfast in January. Her departure followed a reported investigation into her conduct.
