Nadine Dorries Defends Lucy Letby, Citing TV Documentary

Former Member of Parliament Nadine Dorries has publicly stated her belief in the innocence of Lucy Letby, the nurse convicted of murdering seven infants. Dorries, who has maintained this stance for years, has pointed to a recent Channel 5 documentary, "Lucy Letby: Scapegoat?", as evidence supporting her position.

Dorries urged the public to watch the documentary on catch-up, asserting that it would convince viewers of Letby's innocence. Letby is currently serving 15 whole-life orders after being found guilty of murdering seven babies and attempting to murder six others while working as a neonatal nurse at the Countess of Chester Hospital.

Dorries stated that she was among the first columnists to suggest Letby's potential innocence in a national newspaper. The documentary, according to Dorries, presents a "brutally truthful" perspective that should sway public opinion.

She added that those who care about Letby will likely never fully recover from the emotional toll of the case and the ordeal they have endured.
