Nabers, Burns Face Uncertainty After Giants' Loss

New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers will undergo an MRI after dislocating his shoulder, and defensive end Brian Burns is facing a wait-and-see approach for a low-ankle sprain. Both injuries occurred during the Giants' 28-6 loss to the Los Angeles Rams on Monday night.

Nabers re-injured his shoulder in the first quarter, popping it back into the socket himself. Despite the injury, he returned to the game, stating his desire not to leave the team further shorthanded after quarterback Jaxson Dart was also sidelined with a likely sprained MCL.

"I pulled it back in and started feeling a little bit of strength back," Nabers said. "We were without Jaxson, and I didn’t want to give the team another loss, so I went back in."

Nabers, in his second game back from a torn ACL that ended his 2025 season, recorded one catch for one yard. He had crashed to the ground after an incompletion.

Burns sustained his ankle injury in the final minutes of the fourth quarter with the game's outcome already decided. He was unable to put weight on the ankle as he left the field with assistance and was later seen in the locker room.

"It wasn’t as bad as it felt, so that’s a plus," Burns commented. "It’s getting stiff. It eases my mind to know it’s not nothing serious."

Both players' availability for the Giants' upcoming game against the Titans, which follows a cross-country flight and short turnaround, remains uncertain. Burns expressed optimism, drawing on past experiences with similar injuries and emphasizing his immediate commitment to recovery through ice and compression.
