Mysterious Happenings at Upstate New York Brewery Caught on Camera
Security footage from Newburgh Brewing Company shows unexplained phenomena, including vanishing objects and flickering lights.
An upstate New York brewery has released unsettling security footage that appears to show ghostly images, vanishing knives, and flickering lights within its kitchen overnight. The owner of the Newburgh Brewing Company, Paul Halayko, stated that the motion-activated cameras have captured unexplainable events.
The footage, recorded in February 2024, primarily focuses on the brewery's kitchen area. Halayko described seeing a white shape in the video, noting it had a "grimaced mouth — very creepy with the teeth, definitely see two eyes." Additionally, two separate recordings show flashes of light occurring approximately 47 minutes apart while the establishment was empty.
Still images taken from the security footage also suggest that objects, including pots, a garbage pail, a tray, and knives, have moved from their original positions or disappeared from view entirely, though the act of moving or vanishing is not captured on video. "We’ve got two knives right there in the middle on the knife rack," Halayko told News 12 Hudson Valley. "Now let’s go to the next photo — they are gone."
Halayko consulted the city historian to investigate any potential past tragedies at the approximately 160-year-old building. The historian found no records of fatal accidents, though acknowledged that historical industrial work could have been dangerous and undocumented.
A brewery worker also reportedly claimed to have seen a man in overalls multiple times in the downstairs production area. Halayko recently shared the footage online, sparking significant public reaction. He has not reached a definitive conclusion but stated, "I’d be crazy to say it’s not possible. There are many things in this world that we don’t understand."
