Myleene Klass Skips Hear'Say Reunion Tour, Cites Busy Schedule
The pop star will not join her former bandmates and Liberty X for a 2027 arena tour, focusing instead on her current commitments.
Myleene Klass has confirmed she will not participate in the upcoming Hear'Say reunion tour, which will also feature fellow 2000s pop group Liberty X. The TV and radio presenter stated that her busy schedule prevents her from committing to the 13-date arena tour planned for 2027.
Klass, who appeared to be in good spirits while out in London, addressed the reunion on the show Loose Women, explaining that while her bandmates were supportive and included her in discussions, she is unable to join. "I just really can't," she said. "I know that they're still figuring out a lot of the moving parts of it, and until they do that, you know, there's nothing sort of necessary set in stone. But for me, I'm just super busy. I'm committed to you guys."
Despite her absence from the tour, Klass expressed fondness for her time in Hear'Say, stating, "I love the guys dearly. It was an incredibly important time in my life. It taught me so much." She added that she has not completely ruled out future involvement with the band, though she quipped about her ability to remember all the lyrics.
The Hear'Say reunion will include four original members: Danny Foster, Kym Marsh, Suzanne Shaw, and Noel Sullivan. Liberty X will reunite with its full original lineup: Michelle Heaton, Jessica Taylor, Tony Lundon, Kevin Simm, and Kelli Young. The tour is scheduled to visit cities such as Dublin, London, Manchester, and Leeds.
Hear'Say, formed on the ITV talent show Popstars in 2000-2001, achieved significant success with their debut single "Pure and Simple," which topped the UK charts. Kym Marsh departed the group in 2002, leading to a lineup change and a shift in the band's fortunes. Liberty X, also formed on Popstars, gained popularity with hits like "Just A Little," which reached number one in the UK in 2002. Both bands previously reunited as part of ITV's "The Big Reunion" in 2013.
According to reports, the idea for the joint tour originated with Liberty X members Jessica Taylor and Michelle Heaton, who then approached their bandmates and subsequently reached out to Hear'Say. Kym Marsh commented on the possibility of recreating the group's signature energetic performances, noting that while they might not be as vigorous as in the past, there will be a nod to their earlier routines.
