Myleene Klass, 48, has shared joyous moments from a celebratory yacht trip following a recent breast cancer scare. The television presenter posted images on Instagram from a sun-soaked catamaran excursion just days after assuring fans she is in good health after receiving an all-clear.
Klass had previously urged women to conduct self-examinations after discovering two lumps in her breast in June while attending Wimbledon. She detailed the experience on Instagram, describing the days of waiting for test results as both rapid and agonizingly slow. After undergoing tests for cysts and lymph nodes, Klass received confirmation that she is well.
"3 cysts and 3 lymph nodes later, I’m ok BUT the days of waiting meant I reorganised my life into a new set of priorities and ‘what ifs’ only to thankfully get the all clear and then experience the weird ‘reordering’ of going back to ‘normal’," Klass wrote on Instagram. She also noted the sobering and terrifying nature of the experience, particularly for those with children.
Klass, who has been open about past miscarriages, found the process of having another ultrasound challenging. She emphasized the importance of women's health and encouraged regular self-checks and seeking second opinions.
During her holiday, Klass was seen modeling various bikinis, including a vibrant pink one and a khaki two-piece. She also shared moments of paddleboarding with her son, Apollo, aged six. She even donned a white bikini, reminiscent of her attire from the show "I'm a Celebrity."
The scare comes after Klass's friend and fellow presenter, Lauren Laverne, revealed her diagnosis with a rare blood and bone marrow disorder earlier this month. Laverne had previously battled and been cleared of cancer in 2024. Breast cancer is a significant global health concern, with tens of thousands of new cases diagnosed annually in the UK and US. Early detection, often through self-examination and mammograms, is crucial for successful treatment, which can include surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and hormone therapy.
