Myleene Klass Declines Hear'Say Reunion Tour, Cites Busy Schedule
While her former bandmates embark on a 25th-anniversary tour, Klass is committed to other engagements, leading to speculation among fans.
Myleene Klass will not be participating in the upcoming two-week Hear'Say and Liberty X reunion tour, citing a busy schedule.
Myleene Klass, 48, appeared to showcase her current commitments on Monday, the same day her former Hear'Say bandmates were promoting the reunion on television.
The other members of Hear'Say, Danny Foster, Kym Marsh, Suzanne Shaw, and Noel Sullivan, addressed Klass's absence from the 25-year reunion tour with Liberty X on the morning program "This Morning," hosted by Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard. They described her unavailability as "a shame."
On Monday morning, Klass was photographed at the Royal Albert Hall in London, wearing a voluminous blue frilly tulle gown. The one-shoulder dress featured an ombre effect and trailed behind her as she posed for images. Klass is scheduled to host Classic FM Live at the same venue on Monday evening alongside Dan Walker. The event will feature performances by the Philharmonia Orchestra and will include space-inspired classical music.
Klass previously commented on the reunion, stating on "Loose Women" that while her former bandmates had included her in discussions, she could not commit due to her current workload. "I just really can't," she said. "I know that they're still figuring out a lot of the moving parts of it. But for me, I'm just super busy. I'm committed to you guys."
Fans have reacted on social media, with some suggesting Klass views the tour as beneath her, while others believe she should acknowledge her roots. Marsh commented on the tour's viability, noting that the participants had to consider their existing "day jobs" and family logistics.
Noel Sullivan mentioned that an attempt at a reunion for their 20th anniversary did not materialize, expressing happiness that the 25th anniversary provided an opportunity.
Klass has stated that she looks back on her time in Hear'Say fondly and remains on good terms with her former bandmates, referring to it as an "incredibly important time in my life."
She did not entirely rule out future involvement with Hear'Say, quipping that she would attend their shows and might need a refresher on the lyrics. "I would say never say never about anything because, as I said earlier to you guys, you know, I don't really agree on revisiting the past," she remarked.
Hear'Say was formed in 2001 through the ITV talent show "Popstars." Their debut single, "Pure and Simple," reached No. 1 in the UK charts. Reports from the Daily Mail have also alluded to a persistent rift between Kym Marsh and Myleene Klass that dates back to their time in the group.
