Myleene Klass, the television presenter and former member of the pop group Hear'Say, has opted out of a reunion tour with her bandmates, citing a busy schedule. Klass, 48, was seen struggling to fit a voluminous blue ballgown into a taxi on Monday as she made her way to host Classic FM Live at London's Royal Albert Hall.
Her absence from the two-week-long Hear'Say and Liberty X reunion tour has drawn comment from her former bandmates. Speaking on ITV's This Morning, they described her decision as "a shame" but acknowledged that "it just isn't the time for her" and that she is "too busy."
Klass, who rose to fame on the reality TV show Popstars in 2000-01, told Loose Women that while her bandmates "were really sweet" and included her in discussions, she "can't commit" at the moment due to existing commitments. She expressed that she is "super busy" and committed to her current projects.
Fans have reacted on social media, with some suggesting Klass views the tour as beneath her, while others urged her to remember her roots. When asked if there was any doubt about the reunion, former bandmates clarified that the primary challenge was logistical, involving balancing reunion plans with their "day jobs" and family commitments.
Noel, another former member, noted that a planned reunion for their 20th anniversary did not materialize, making him happy to be back for the 25th anniversary.
Klass stated that she looks back on her time in Hear'Say fondly and remains on good terms with her former bandmates. She described the experience as "an incredibly important time in my life" that taught her a great deal. While she has not completely ruled out future involvement with Hear'Say, she quipped that she is unsure if she remembers all the lyrics and would be in the front row when they perform. She added, "never say never about anything," but also indicated that she does not "really agree on revisiting the past."
