Myleene Klass Attends Opera Amid Hear'Say Reunion Snub
The singer opted for a night at the opera with friends Holly Willoughby and Vanessa Feltz instead of participating in the Hear'Say anniversary tour, citing a busy schedule.
Myleene Klass was seen enjoying a night out at the opera with television personalities Holly Willoughby and Vanessa Feltz on Saturday. The event, the opening of Angel’s Bone at the London Coliseum, marked Klass's attendance at a social gathering amidst her decision to decline an invitation to a Hear'Say reunion.
Klass, who donned a black blazer over a champagne silk blouse, shared photos of the evening on Instagram. Willoughby, dressed in a red ruffled blouse, shared a selfie with Feltz, humorously noting their transition to YouTube careers and discussing thumbnail strategies. Willoughby recently launched her YouTube series, "Together," while Feltz debuted her series, "At Home with Vanessa," following the cancellation of her Channel 5 daytime talk show.
The singer's absence from the Hear'Say anniversary tour, which includes a collaboration with the Popstars group Liberty X, has been attributed to her busy schedule. Klass stated on "Loose Women" that while her former bandmates were understanding and included her in discussions, she could not commit to the tour at this time due to existing commitments. "For me, I'm just super busy. I'm committed to you guys," she told the program's hosts.
Other members of Hear'Say, including Kym Marsh, expressed that it was a "shame" Klass could not join but acknowledged that "it just isn't the time for her." Marsh also noted the logistical challenges of organizing the reunion around current work and family commitments. Noel Sullivan mentioned that a previous attempt at a reunion for their 20th anniversary was unsuccessful, making the 25th anniversary tour a significant opportunity.
Fans on social media have offered varied reactions to Klass's decision, with some suggesting she views the tour as beneath her and others urging her to remember her roots. Despite her inability to participate in the tour, Klass has expressed fond memories of her time in Hear'Say and remains on good terms with her bandmates. She stated she looks back on the period as "an incredibly important time in my life" and would attend their shows, though she jested about remembering all the lyrics.
Klass has continued to attend various events, including the 2026 Sky Arts Awards and Classic FM Live, since clarifying her stance on the reunion. The other four original members of Hear'Say are participating in the tour. Hear'Say formed on the reality television talent show "Popstars" and disbanded in 2002.
