Murder Investigation Launched After Body Found in Burning Van

A murder investigation is underway after a body was discovered in a van that was on fire in Prestatyn, Flintshire. Emergency services were alerted to the incident on Gas Works Lane around 11:30 p.m. BST on Sunday.
Authorities have not yet identified the individual found in the vehicle. Detective Superintendent Chris Bell stated that officers are working quickly to determine the person's identity. Once identified, specialist officers will be assigned to support the family.
A police cordon has been established at the scene as the investigation progresses. Police are reassuring the local community, emphasizing a visible police presence in the area.
North Wales Police are requesting that anyone who was in the Gas Works Lane vicinity between 10:45 p.m. and 11:45 p.m. on Sunday and observed or heard anything unusual to come forward.
