Motorcyclist Dies After Crashing on Coastal Road and Plunging Into Sea

A motorcyclist has died after crashing on a coastal road and falling into the sea on the outskirts of Llandudno on Thursday night. North Wales Police, HM Coastguard, and the RNLI initiated a search after receiving reports that a motorcyclist had gone over a bike and entered the sea below the Great Orme.

The male motorcyclist was recovered from the water by helicopter and airlifted to Bangor, where he was pronounced dead. His next of kin have been informed, and the coroner has been notified.

Authorities are investigating the incident as a fatal road traffic collision and are seeking information about a black car, possibly a Ford Fiesta, that was in the vicinity at the time of the collision. The vehicle was reportedly traveling on Mostyn Street, then North Parade, and heading towards the Great Orme around 10:26 p.m.

Sergeant Alun Jones of the North Wales Police Roads Crime Unit urged anyone who witnessed the collision or was traveling or walking along Marine Drive between 10:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. to come forward. He specifically requested anyone with dashcam footage from the Toll House towards the Great Orme summit during that timeframe to contact the police, emphasizing that any information, however insignificant it may seem, could aid the investigation.
