A woman has been arrested and charged with the fatal stabbing of her husband and 3-year-old son at a Great Wolf Lodge in Pennsylvania, according to authorities.

Metallica Rose Harrison, 27, was taken into custody on Monday. Police reported that Harrison called 911 herself, expressing suicidal intent and stating that her husband and son were deceased. When officers arrived at the resort, they found Harrison with wounds and her husband, Charles Harrison, and their son on the floor with stab wounds. The husband had multiple stab wounds to the chest, and the child had one stab wound to the chest.

Authorities said Harrison told the 911 dispatcher she was "too weak to stab" herself and reiterated that her husband and son were already dead. She allegedly told investigators after their deaths, "Everyday, I work so hard. To be the best person, the best mother, the best wife. It wasn’t supposed to end like this." She also stated, “I was supposed to have my happy family. That’s what I envisioned since I was a child.”

The family had checked into the Great Wolf Lodge on September 21 and had extended their reservation, with plans to stay until October 13. A spokesperson for The Great Wolf Lodge issued a statement calling the incident a "tragic domestic incident" and confirmed they are cooperating with law enforcement. "It was an isolated family incident," the spokesperson said. "Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones of those affected."

Charles Harrison's sister, Melissa Rivera, has launched a GoFundMe campaign to help with funeral expenses. She described her brother as "a good guy whose whole life was centered around his wife and child." She added, "Their passing was sudden, and we are heartbroken trying to come to terms with losing two people we loved so dearly."
