Yasmeen Ali, 44, has admitted to killing her three young children at their home in Sea Mills, Bristol. The bodies of seven-year-old Fares Bash, three-year-old Joury Bash, and nine-month-old Mohammed Bash were discovered on February 18, 2024.
Appearing at Bristol Crown Court, Ali pleaded guilty to three charges of manslaughter. She is scheduled to be sentenced at a later date. An inquest into the children's deaths previously indicated that they died from knife wounds, with injuries to their chests and necks. Fares Bash also showed possible signs of asphyxia.
During the court appearance, Ali, who was wearing a purple coat and a black headscarf, spoke through an interpreter. The court allowed only six people to attend the hearing to minimize any potential impact on her mental health.
