Metallica Rose Harrison, 27, is accused of fatally stabbing her husband and their young son inside a hotel room at the Great Wolf Lodge in the Poconos before calling 911 and asking for assistance in ending her own life. The incident occurred on Monday.

Prior to the alleged killings, Harrison had frequently posted seemingly happy family photos on social media. These included images of herself, her husband Charles Harrison, and their 3-year-old son, identified by initials T.H., on vacations. One such photo showed the family together on a Ferris wheel earlier in the summer, while another captured the couple smiling on a beach in August.

Her husband also shared numerous family pictures, including a wedding photo from approximately three years ago.

According to court documents, Harrison allegedly called emergency services and stated that her husband and son were deceased in the living room bed. She reportedly told the 911 operator, "My husband and son are already gone in the bed in the living room. They’re already gone, I’m sorry."

During her arrest, Harrison reportedly refused to speak with police but spoke to medics. The affidavit states she expressed frustration over working "so hard to be the best person, the best mother, the best wife" and that "It wasn’t supposed to end like this. I was supposed to have my happy family. That’s what I envisioned since I was a child."

Police were observed at the couple's home in Bradford County, located about two hours north of the resort, on Tuesday night. Neighbors expressed shock at the news. One neighbor told WNEP that they had occasionally heard yelling but noted the family mostly kept to themselves. Another neighbor, Lee Henry, told the outlet that the family "just stay by themselves up by the house."

Authorities have stated that Harrison was taken to the hospital for self-inflicted injuries and is currently receiving treatment while remaining in police custody.
