Morgan Gibbs-White's partner, Britney De Villiers, has publicly questioned manager Thomas Tuchel's decision to omit the Nottingham Forest midfielder from the latest England squad. De Villiers shared a statistic on Instagram indicating that Gibbs-White is the only player to have created over five chances in a single Premier League game this season, suggesting his form has been overlooked by the England boss.

Gibbs-White faces stiff competition for the number 10 role in the England team, with Jude Bellingham, Cole Palmer, and Eberechi Eze being selected ahead of him for the current international break. This is not the first time Gibbs-White has been subject to scrutiny over an England call-up; his omission from the previous summer's World Cup squad also drew attention, particularly given he was the top scorer among English players in the Premier League last season.

Tuchel, when addressing the squad selection, stated that it "makes no sense" to include more than three players primarily operating as number 10s. This justification has been met with criticism from Gibbs-White's partner.
