More Women Accuse Packers' Josh Jacobs of Abuse Amid Ongoing Investigation

Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs is facing additional abuse allegations from multiple women, following his May 26 battery arrest. The Hobart/Lawrence police department has revealed new claims that Jacobs allegedly became abusive with women who rejected his sexual advances, with several accusers reporting that he took or destroyed their mobile phones.

Jacobs was initially arrested after being accused of attacking his then-live-in girlfriend on May 23. He pleaded no contest in September to misdemeanor charges of battery and criminal damage to property. He was fined $1,000 and court fees, and can have the criminal damage charge dismissed if he meets certain conditions for 12 months.

Police stated they possess video footage supporting the accuser's claims from the May incident, but this evidence has not yet been made public. However, the department did release redacted records detailing the newer allegations.

One woman reported an incident around January 5, 2022, after learning of Jacobs' arrest. She stated that after she indicated she was not there for sex, Jacobs became angry, slapped her, destroyed her phone, threw her onto a bed, pinned her down, and threatened her life. She did not report the incident at the time due to concerns her claims would not be believed, but came forward after the May allegations, believing it showed a pattern of behavior.

Another woman alleged that in April 2021, after a condom broke during sex, Jacobs reacted aggressively when she requested he get tested for STDs. She claims he removed her from his residence, pushed her against a wall, and threw her belongings out, leaving her with bruises. Police records from that incident indicated no visible signs of injury.

A third woman reported that in May 2022, after Jacobs flew her to a residence, an altercation occurred where he allegedly grabbed her by the hair, dragged her, scratched her chest, and took her phone. She stated she sustained bruises and scratches and did not report the incident because she was not a U.S. citizen at the time and feared deportation.

Jacobs, a three-time Pro Bowl selection, joined the Packers in 2024 after leading the NFL in rushing in 2022 with the Las Vegas Raiders. He returned to play for the Packers two weeks ago and was recently subject to scrutiny for a touchdown celebration that some viewers linked to his legal issues, which he attributed to inspiration from a gospel song.

The NFL is still investigating the May 23 incident, and it remains unclear how the newly revealed allegations could affect Jacobs' standing in the league. His attorneys stated in October that he was "remorseful" and had accepted responsibility for his actions in the Wisconsin case, but would offer no further comment due to ongoing legal matters.
