Monet Mazur's Hollywood Hills Home Targeted in Break-In Attempt

Masked individuals attempted to break into the Hollywood Hills home of actress Monet Mazur late Saturday night, according to reports. The Los Angeles Police Department responded to a "hot prowl burglary" call at the actress's residence before 11:30 p.m. Officials confirmed that at least one victim was inside the home when the suspects tried to gain entry.

The suspects fled the scene before officers arrived. The police searched the area but did not locate any suspects, and no suspect description has been released. No injuries were reported, and officers filed a burglary report.

According to reports, Mazur, 50, may have been alerted to the presence of the suspects, described as wearing black clothing and ski masks, before they attempted to enter her home. One report indicated that the suspects fled after the actress confronted them, while another suggested that an alarm was triggered when they tried to open the front door, causing them to run off.

Images from the scene reportedly showed pepper spray on the doormat outside the two-bedroom property, valued at $1.5 million. Mazur's representatives did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

This incident follows a series of break-ins targeting celebrity residences. Last month, Olympian Simone Biles reported that her Chicago home was robbed, with suspects stealing her Porsche GTS. In another incident, the home of NFL player Saquon Barkley was also burglarized.

Stephen Scott, founder of Scott's K9, emphasized the role of professionally trained protection dogs in enhancing home security. He noted that such dogs can detect intruders earlier than humans, providing valuable time for residents to react, secure their families, or contact authorities. Scott also cautioned against oversharing personal schedules and travel plans on social media, as this digital footprint can inadvertently alert potential burglars to an empty home.
