The cause of death for 3-year-old Trigg Kiser, son of mommy influencer Emilie Kiser, has been revealed as an anoxic brain injury due to drowning, according to a Maricopa County medical examiner's report. The report, released more than a year after the child's death, lists the incident as an accident.
Trigg died on May 18, 2025, days after he was found unconscious in his family's backyard pool in Arizona. His mother, Emilie Kiser, had been interviewing with Jay Shetty when the incident occurred. Her husband, Brady Kiser, was home alone with Trigg and their five-week-old baby at the time of the incident.
Brady Kiser told investigators he lost sight of Trigg after the boy went outside after dinner. He stated he was distracted by the couple's infant at the time. According to investigators, Trigg was in the water for approximately seven minutes before being pulled out. The family's pool was unfenced.
Emilie Kiser has since stated that she has forgiven her husband for the tragedy. In a social media post from January 2025, Kiser shared a photo of herself holding Trigg, both smiling. Another image shows the family, including Emilie, Brady, and Trigg, in front of a field. In a subsequent interview, Kiser spoke about her son's drowning death.
