Mom Influencer Kills Family in Murder-Suicide After Ominous Social Media Post

A mother, identified as 33-year-old Cindy Tamez, killed her partner, two of her sons, and herself in a suspected murder-suicide in Montemorelos, Mexico. The tragic events unfolded on Wednesday, hours after Tamez, who had a significant social media following, posted ominous messages to her followers.

According to Javier Flores Saldivar, the attorney general, Tamez first fatally shot her partner, 28-year-old Leodegario Moya, and her sons Christian, 12, and Bruno, 11, in their home. She then took a younger son, 2-year-old Gustavo, in her vehicle. Authorities believe she killed the toddler before taking her own life in the car. A .38 caliber pistol was recovered from the vehicle, and shell casings found at the scene of Tamez's death were consistent with those found in the home.

Investigators are focusing on Tamez's recent social media activity. In a TikTok video posted shortly before the killings, Tamez captioned an image with "Not everyone knows my nasty side." She added, "I’d burn down my own house just to watch my neighbour’s go up in flames, even knowing I’d get f–ked over too."

Other posts suggested a desire for revenge against individuals who had wronged her. One message read, "I can take it, but I can give it back twice as hard, so don’t think I give a fck – I can be twice as much of a c–t as you." Another stated, "I’m probably just as much of a piece of sht as you, or even worse, but I never screw someone over unless they’ve screwed me over first."

Cinthia Abigail Tamez Rivera, known online as Cindy Tamez, was reportedly involved in lending money and dealt in items such as watches, cars, chains, and cell phones. Authorities are examining whether her business activities are connected to the fatal incident. No images of the victims or the crime scene were provided, but the investigation into the motive and circumstances surrounding the tragedy is ongoing.
